“the end of all seasons.” is a woozy, viscous beat tape, produced in August 2019, during a period of depression following the end of a relationship.
Emerging from isolation & self medication with codeine, flexeril and late night walks through Portland, qualchan. imbues the twenty five fleeting tracks on this tape with hazy, fragmented impressions from his somnambulistic excursions through the mt. scott neighborhood's deserted streets and empty lots. Sounding something like Wolfgang Voigt's more vaporous output transformed into blissed out house inflected hip hop instrumentals, the result is a dark, haunted collection of music that's simultaneously beautiful & unsettling.

A collection of short to medium loops (which is my weakness). To no surprise, I love this album. It’s a mixture of the older, more sporadic track formatting that qualchan. had on their early work with the production and quality I expect from their newer pieces. There is a lot here to enjoy.
